Booking a seat

Who we are

Larbert Local Tours.
ptcarr70+org1@gmail.com
Our coach is run by Braes Travel.

1. Who you are dealing with

You are buying your seat from Larbert Local Tours. We arrange the trip, sell the seats and take the payments. The coach and driver are provided by Braes Travel, the coach company we have hired, which runs the journey. Booking and payment are handled by The Conductor, which is software we use. It does not sell the seats and does not run the coach.

You are buying transport only, unless the trip page says a ticket is included (see section 4A). Where no ticket is included, entry to the match, concert, race meeting or other event is your own arrangement.

2. How a trip becomes a trip

Some trips are on sale before we know they will run. Each one shows the number of seats needed and the date by which they have to be sold - the decision date.

When you book, your card is saved and nothing is taken. Your seat is held.

Trips that are already confirmed when you book are charged in the same way, shortly after you book.

3. If your card fails

Cards expire, and a trip may confirm weeks after you saved yours. If we cannot take the fare we email you a link to pay with a different card. If we still cannot take payment, the seat may be released for somebody else.

4. Cancelling your seat

At any point up to departure you may send somebody else in your place instead, at no charge - just tell us the name so the driver has it on the list.

To cancel, email us using the details at the top of this page. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, normally within 5 working days.

Because this is a booking for passenger transport, the fourteen day right to cancel that applies to most things bought online does not apply. The scale above is what we offer instead.

4A. Trips with a ticket included

Where the trip page says a ticket is included, the fare includes that ticket as described on the trip page. These trips are confirmed when they go on sale, and the fare is taken from your card when you book. Every one is back within 24 hours of the first pick-up, with no overnight stay.

The ticket is bought for you and cannot be returned. If you cancel, your seat goes back on sale, and your fare is refunded in full only if somebody else books it before the coach leaves. If nobody does, there is no refund. The scale in section 4 does not apply to these trips.

You may send somebody else in your place, free, at any point up to departure. Where the venue prints a name on the ticket, any change the venue itself requires is yours to arrange.

5. If the trip is called off

We refund every penny you have paid, to the card you paid with. That applies whether the trip did not fill, or was called off later because of weather, the coach being unable to run, or anything else that made it unsafe or impossible.

Where the event itself is cancelled, postponed or moved, we will tell you as soon as we know and either run the trip on the new date or refund you in full.

If Braes Travel cannot provide the coach, we may use another coach company with a coach of a similar size, without changing your fare.

6. Pick-ups and timings

Your stop and time are on your confirmation and again in the reminder sent the day before. Please be there a few minutes early. The coach can wait 5 minutes and no longer - one late passenger delays a full coach. If you miss it, no refund is due, and we would rather you told us so nobody is looking for you.

Return times are a guide and can be affected by the event finishing late, by traffic and by roadworks. Please allow a sensible margin for anything you have planned afterwards.

7. On the coach

The driver is in charge of the coach, and Braes Travel's own conditions of carriage apply on board. Every passenger must wear a seat belt where one is fitted; it is the law. Smoking and vaping are not permitted.

Alcohol may not be carried or drunk on a coach travelling to or from a football match or other designated sporting event. This is not a house rule - it is a criminal offence, for the coach company, for whoever hired the coach and for the passenger, and the driver will refuse to travel rather than break it. On other trips, alcohol is only allowed where the trip page says so.

The driver may refuse to carry, or set down, anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive or likely to damage the coach. No refund is due in that case. If you damage or soil the coach, Braes Travel may charge for the repair or cleaning, and you agree to pay that cost.

8. Children and young people

Under-16s must travel with an adult unless we have agreed otherwise before the day. Every passenger, whatever their age, needs a seat and a fare - babies and toddlers included, because a coach cannot legally carry anyone without one.

9. Access needs

Tell us when you book if you use a wheelchair, need step-free access or would rather sit near the front, and we will check with Braes Travel. Not every coach is accessible, so please ask before booking rather than on the day. Assistance dogs are always welcome.

10. Luggage and belongings

Bring what you can carry. Luggage and belongings travel at your own risk. Anything left on the coach is kept by Braes Travel - tell us and we will ask them.

11. Complaints

Contact us at ptcarr70+org1@gmail.com within 28 days of travel. If your complaint is about the coach or the driver, we will take it up with Braes Travel and tell you what they say. We will reply within 5 working days.

12. Your information

Larbert Local Tours uses the details you give us to run your booking - your confirmation, the reminder the day before, and the trip itself. The driver's boarding list has your name, mobile number, pick-up stop and anything you have told us the driver needs to know, such as help with the steps. The driver from Braes Travel uses it on the day. It never shows your email address.

We keep your details for 12 months after travel and then delete them. We do not sell them. If you ticked the box to hear about future trips you can unsubscribe from any email we send. Ask us at ptcarr70+org1@gmail.com for a copy of what we hold, or to delete it.

13. Law

These terms are governed by Scots law and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.
